I took this photo in my front yard early in my recovery from abdominal surgery. Spending time outside with my camera helped me stay present, and small moments like this one—a bee hovering near bright red flowers (coral bells)—brought real enjoyment to my days. I wasn’t able to do much physically at the time, but waiting quietly for moments like this gave me a steady sense of focus and calm as I healed.
