Mental Health Recovery in Nature

Time Out offers a novel approach to supporting people with mental health challenges using creativity, community and the natural world.

Who we are

Welcome to Time Out Healing Society!

We are a recently established not-for-profit organization in Alberta that supports mental health recovery.

Our Mission: At Time Out, we empower individuals recovering from acute mental health challenges to build self-awareness, acceptance, and resilience through a supportive and inclusive community. Guided by an interdisciplinary health and education team, we create a safe space for open dialogue and skill development. By reconnecting with Self, others, and the land, our clients find healing and a renewed sense of home within the body.

2025

Our focus is on building community, gathering partners, raising awareness, and developing programming for our clients.

2026 (January)

We will begin offering educational day programs from Monday - Thursday including art, music, mindfulness and movement classes.

2029 (January)

We will open our wilderness retreat centre with a full program.

Our Vision: We will offer a transformative retreat in a wilderness setting as early intervention for those recovering from acute mental health challenges.
